Unit II was about the different theories that are considered in the English learning process. The behaviorist theory refers to the way behavior is shaped by conditions and consequences. On the other hand, the cognitive theorists consider that the memory system is an active organized processor of information and that prior knowledge plays an important role in learning. The constructivist theory is focused on engaging learners in real situation activities that allow them to interact and share their knowledge.
Those theories can be taken into account at the moment of creating a syllabus design. What is it? It's related to the selection of the appropriate strategies, techniques and resources to facilitate the learning process of a given group of learners.
Remember! Before creating a syllabus design we have to analyse students'needs.
